Edmund Savage (they/he) is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and intimacy professional. They have worked on productions like We Own This City (HBO), Lioness (Paramount), and Lady in the Lake (Apple TV), received the Raft Woodus Social Activist Award for their student advocacy in higher education, produced content for nonprofit organizations like the Pride Center of Maryland, and volunteered with film festivals such as the Maryland Film Fest and Queer Voices: New York.

They have coordinated a screening tour for the award-winning documentary titled BLACK AS U R, directed by Micheal Rice and Exec. Produced by Billy Porter, won best LGBT short for their directorial debut, Oracle at DMOFF (Direct Monthly Online Film Festival), and earned 2nd place at the Baltimore Pitch Competition for their upcoming short, IPV.

As an artist, Edmund’s goal is to create and share authentic stories by centering the experiences of BLAQ(Black Queer)/Same-Gender Loving people. They are heavily influenced by their advocacy work and continue to support grassroot organizations/initiatives that directly assist diverse communities like LGBTQ+ folx, and people living with HIV.

Edmund is a graduate of Towson University’s Professional Studies (M.A.) program with their thesis focusing on staging intimacy in African American cinema and currently training with the SAG-AFTRA organization, IDC Professionals.
